Wanda was an amazing cook who actually had some serious training in her country of Trinidad and Tobago. In fact, one of my most prized mementos is my mother's... her cooking manual from Naparima Girls High School in Trinidad. What started as my mother's inspiration many years ago has turned into a career that I love and am very proud of. So here I am, my mother's son, who has spent 38 years in the kitchen, perfecting my craft. Firebirds Wood Fired Grill was an excellent way to celebrate my birthday. The staff is welcoming. The service was courteous, professional, knowledgeable, and attended. More importantly, the food was excellent. I loved that they surprised me with a candle on my dessert, and it was low-key. The creme Brule cheesecake is AMAZING!!!

Some of us ordered from the specials menu, I having the short rib grilled cheese and 2 others having the bacon wrapped meatloaf. Food and service was excellent! Our waiter was Will and was very attentive and polite!
