Heritage pub turned Greek Islands-inspired paradise, Golden Fleece Hotel has brought Santorini to South Melbourne. Entering off Montague Street, you’ll find curvaceous, stone-look tables, booths and an adjoining bottle shop where the walls are lined with vino you can take away! Make your way up the colourful mosaic-tiled stairwell you'll find a place to enjoy more cocktails after dining down stairs and nooks to sit back and relax, as well as a pool table and our DJ's on the weekend to keep the party forever going. Our Walk-ins only intimate Santorini Rooftop is where you’ll feel most transported, as the sun beams down, sip on a fun Aperol Spritz, or a Aphrodites Elixr of Desire to feel the holiday vibes.     We haven’t been to the Morning Star for a very long time. We dined last night. It was just wonderful. Service and meals were great! Great Wine list and independent craft beers. Read Octobers Broadsheet article. Im delighted there has been a lot of love and care given to keep this amazing building and its history. Well done. We’ll be back.

    Absolutely brilliant Greek food, not a single misstep with anything we ordered. The food was just amazing. Serving sizes were generous very satisfying. Kids ordered souvlakis and were super happy, adults ordered lots of share plates and we were completely blown away by all the flavours. The staff couldn’t have been nicer and more helpful and knowledgeable about the menu and drinks but they were busy so sometimes a bit slow but we didn’t care. We were made to feel very welcome and as it was a special occasion we were given a private dining area so we could chat away from the upstairs fun. This will become a regular for us!

    Atmosphere and service was great as overlooks the bay. The only issue is not having an option with a meal other than chips. For the price having option of vegetables or salad with steak would have been ok other than ordering separately. The separate plates order were of good quality though.

    This place is the perfect venue. Staff amazing and food/booze is top notch. I only wish they had accommodation - you could easily live here!
