Reservations accepted for dinner only.Fifty eight years ago, Elaine and Pierre Boissiere established their eponymous restaurant at its current location, years before Carmel Plaza shopping center was built around it. They sought to offer the city of Carmel-by-the-Sea a relaxing and comforting venue modeled after a European chateau where tables are thoughtfully spaced and fresh flowers, fireplace, candles and soothing musical notes are integral part of the dining experience. The ambience sets the tone for French country food served with a great deal of care for detail and pastries baked daily on premises. Only thing I would change is have a regular bill so customers can tip more. The machine only shows 25% max on main screen so you’re shorting yourselves tips imo. Your server was excellent

We’ve celebrated many special occasions at Pacific’s Edge over the years. It’s a special place for us for many reasons. As expected, the food was amazing and the service and staff attentive and so friendly. This was my 60th Birthday celebration!!

This is a definite four star experience, the four of us had the "Tasting menu with wine" and it was spectacular. Each "taste" was lovely to look at and tasty as can be. Since the menu changes frequently, I'll only mention a few "tastes". The striped bass was presented crispy, perfectly cooked, the short rib was fork tender with a lovely huckleberry au jus, cheesecake desert with berry ice was lick-the-plate. The wines chosen for each course added to the experience. Staff was attenuative without being intrusive. Highly recommend this, we're already planning to return to try the 3 course prix fix menu.
