Our interior dining space has the classic vibe of a neighborhood restaurant, while our large main patio offers picturesque views of the near neighborhood and downtown skyline.Reservations are available online at ediblebeats.com, as well as OpenTable. Steuben’s is named after a restaurant in Boston that my Great Uncles, Max and Joe, opened in 1945. Steuben's became a famous Boston restaurant, nightclub, and hotspot from the 1940’s to the 1960’s on Boylston Street. The Vienna Room, The Cave, and The Blue Room were all part of the Steuben's space and hosted Big Band, Jazz, and Swing groups with The Rat Pack, proms and sweet sixteens, and more. In its prime, Steuben’s was the center of the Boston dining and nightlife scene.

    Excellent experience as always! We return again and again to Root Down for great food and great service. On this visit, we were mired in traffic and I was petrified we would miss our reservation by a long shot. I texted the restaurant and they texted right back with assurances they would save us a seat. What a relief! Every staff member knows the menu and can make recommendations and they kindly checked for food allergies. What a great place to eat when you're in Denver! We try to get there at least once per year.

    Christmas Eve pre-fix dinner was a delight for a family with some food sensitivities and varied palates. We ordered almost all of the special menu options, all of which were sumptuous with rich and mild spice (the duck confit) and comforting (the scallop risotto), with wines that paired beautifully and dessert that gave a seasonal touch to our truly special dinner. Duo is a neighborhood gem!
