Umi Sake House is a unique Japanese cuisine restaurant in the Belltown area of Seattle featuring the highest quality seafood available in the Northwest, a large izakaya-style tapas menu, and boasting a sake list of over 60 imported Japanese bottles. Cozy yet bustling restaurant in the heart of Ballard Ave. The inside is a bit fancier and the outdoor seating is pretty casual. Excellent food and drinks, and there was a wine expert of staff to make recommendations. I would say we had very good service. We ate early so there was no wait for a table even on a Saturday. I’ll definitely be going back.

Wonderful venue to celebrate a special occasion (like a spouse’s birthday)! Service is top-notch and the food is nicely prepared & presented. This couple shared one appetizer, one small plate, the sturgeon entree, and a key lime pie—very satisfying! Do request bread for dipping into the sauce if you get the mussels.
