The Grain House Restaurant is located on the picturesque 10-acre estate of the Olde Mill Inn in Basking Ridge, NJ. The Grain House structure was originally built as a barn in the 1760’s and was used to store grain for American Revolutionary soldiers. The barn was later moved to its current location and opened as a restaurant in the 1930’s. Today, the Grain House is a renowned restaurant in North/Central New Jersey, with a comfortable, casual ambiance. The restaurant serves innovative, traditional and contemporary interpretations of American cuisine with some added international accents, prepared under the direction of Executive Chef John Benjamin. Delicious homemade desserts complete the menus, which are revised several times a year. Outdoor patio dining and fireside dining are available in season.The restaurant offers lunch and dinner daily, as well as a special breakfast/lunch a la carte menu offered on Saturdays from 11 am to 4pm. Sunday 11am to 3 pm.

Full-Service indoor dining is offered in our dining rooms and bar from Tuesday through Saturday, 11 am - 10 pm and Sunday, 11 am - 9 pm. Al the experience was really good. They receive you with a lentil soup and bread, both are really good, the rice is also included with the entrees, we ordered kabobs, beef and chicken, and another dish which forgot the name but was veal meat and also very good, last a dessert, which is stuffed with cheese and you know what, it was really good, the only but was that espresso machine was broken and the alternative, Turkish coffee was not good as we expected.

I’d never eaten here before. I chose this Restauraunt after using the “Between” app to find a location between the three couples meeting —- but boy am I glad I did! The service was outstanding and the food delicious. Note when visiting that the Restauraunt sign is dark so you could miss it. Use a navigation to find it. I’ll definitely go back again

We had a wonder first time at tap and bitter. It was a quiet Sunday but the staff checked in on us throughout our dinner. We always had water and didn’t feel rushed and they gave us time in between courses to relax and enjoy each other company
