Located at Atherton Mill in Charlotte's historic South End neighborhood, Indaco (Italian for "indigo") serves Italian cuisine. Wood-fired pizzas, hand-crafted pastas, housemade salami and cured sausages fill the restaurant's menu which can be enjoyed family-style or a la carte. With an open kitchen, and a comfortable atmosphere, Indaco can seat approximately 85 guests inside for a casual night of food and drinks. The wine list is focused on affordable Italian varietals, the Gin & Tonic cocktail is on tap, and the fresh sodas are made in-house. Large windows fill the restaurant with natural light that reflects off the white subway tile, wood accents and butcher block tables. We typically go to dinner at Rooster’s prior to a Bluementhal show. The experience is mostly always good, with the exception of a couple of hiccups. Hiccups are usually addressed by management, so we continue to support. I would recommend Rooster’s for the good food, convenience and ambience.

Always an amazing experience here. We come for our anniversary and birthdays. Highly recommend the meatball appetizer, short rib pasta, steak medallion entree, and seasonal cake. Can’t go wrong with anything though!!!

We ordered the agnolotti ! It was French onion on the menu. It was delicious! It was like a French onion soup deconstructed!! I had the salad for my meal and it was delicious and my husband had the poke bowl which he said was fantastic! All in all it was a delicious meal!

Staff was great. Truly great. The rooms are a little loud when multiple tables are set. The outside area looked very nice. The appetizers and salads were extremely good. We ordered the shrimp and grits and the burger with fries. The shrimp and grits were OK at best. We only ate half of the burgers. The fries were on point.
