Tucked away close to Newcastle's thousand-year-old castle, the French Quarter is a gem that provides a memorable dining experience. On my visit, I began with an exquisite Rillettes de Porc with some off-menu toasted bread. I followed this with an indulgent Bœuf Bourguignon accompanied by a tangy Gratin Dauphinois and fresh Haricot Vert. The staff were an absolute delight—attentive, friendly, and passionate about their work. They were happy to make recommendations, explaining food combinations with detail and enthusiasm. Every interaction felt personal, adding an extra layer of warmth to my visit. The restaurant offered subtle touches of a French bistro, a cosy yet sophisticated charm. It's perfect for both intimate dinners and lively group get-togethers. It's not budget dining, but the quality of the food, impeccable service, and overall experience justify the cost. Portions are generous, and each dish feels crafted with care. Whether you're a fan of French cuisine or just looking for a memorable culinary experience, the French Quarter delivers on all fronts. The evening was fantastic they gasca party on in the rain bar so we had the restaurant to ourselves which was lovely as as we were able to chat the food was beautiful 😍 the chef was fantastic popped out to see if everything ok the staff were very busy the new owner was very friendly and has a drive that will make the business succeed thank upu for a great night we all enjoyed it
