A luxurious spot designed and built by Vacuum Studio featuring a highly pigmented colour palette inspired by our global travels. Lighting is low, volume can get high and the intimate booth seating is a perfect facilitator for conversation. After closing for 2 weeks for an interior refurb the pub now has a fresh and clean new look. The creation of a proper snug is part of the change and is available for private hire for small gatherings or family occasions. The rear barn has also undergone refurbishment and is now a wonderful room dating back to the 15th Century with oak beams and flagstone floor folding doors open out on to the rear courtyard and river Stour beyond. The barn forms part of the restaurant but can also be made available for small functions and parties of up to 20 - 25 people.

We thought the food was absolutely delicious and we were chuffed that everything was gluten free! Unfortunately we didn’t get a chance to try the mains as we maxed out on starters and tostados/tacos but we’ll definitely be visiting again to try out the mains! Service was excellent; really friendly and welcoming and speedy. Ambience was great. A really enjoyable evening and we will most certainly be back!
