At Restaurant Story the premise is simple; we seek to tell our story through the food we serve.We opened in April 2013 gaining our first Michelin star only five months after opening and in 2021 we were awarded our second Michelin star. Finally in 2023 we launched Story 3.0 hosting a 2nd floor.Inspired by chef Tom Sellers’ culinary career and the history of British food, our dishes are an edible story, each one inspired by a memory. We want to share these memories with you through what you see, smell and taste.To help achieve this, we select only the freshest seasonal British produce and then pair it with an exclusive wine list featuring small wine producers and select British craft ales sourced locally.

It was my 60th birthday so we thought we’d celebrate in style at Restaurant Story. It started really well. We were warmly welcomed, and the food was lovely. Unfortunately our overall experience was let down by the very strange situation with the wine. Despite the sommelier talking to us as soon as we sat down, he did not explain the wine pairings to us, and then he disappeared and when the first course arrived he had still not taken our wine order. The other wait staff were great. They apologised and got it sorted out, but it was all very strange, and not what you expect from a Michelin starred restaurant.
