Crispin is an all day restaurant & wine bar in Spitalfields serving seasonal sharing plates, low intervention wines & cocktails.Our chefs are led by the talented Lewis de Haas (ex Petersham Nurseries & The Shed). They deliver a European inspired menu, using locally & sustainably sourced ingredients from independent growers, small-scale farms & producers (think seasonal croquettes, organic British vegetables, sustainable seafood, classic cuts). We also have a natural wine list, bottle shop & wine club curated by our Head of Wine Alexandra Price, where we focus on natural wines using indigenous & rare grape varieties.The glass & zinc pavilion is located on White’s Row, Spitalfields, on the junction with Crispin Street. Poppies in Hanbury Street was Pop’s first restaurant and the one where the journey began. The retro-diner and takeaway is close to Pop’s heart as it brought 70year old Pat out of retirement. It fulfilled his lifelong dream of opening an East End chippie and a desire to offer customers a taste of the old East End.

Nestled into the corner of Spitalfields, we have recently re-branded as a small plates bar, cafe & restaurant, serving up wonderful seasonal plates made with the freshest ingredients, cakes & pastries. Our bar is the product of over 20 years’ work by couple Kay and Peter Sinden, who have now passed on the daily running of the place to their own children.
