Umi Sake House is a unique Japanese cuisine restaurant in the Belltown area of Seattle featuring the highest quality seafood available in the Northwest, a large izakaya-style tapas menu, and boasting a sake list of over 60 imported Japanese bottles. Carmine’s is one of the best food experiences we have had in awhile! Service was exceptional, the lobster pasta special was a dream, the fillet with gnocchi was lovely. And the bread pudding was amazing. Thank you for a great evening. We will be back!

Service was slow (dinner took 3 hours), but the waitstaff was pleasant and helpful. We were not in a hurry, so the leisurely pace was ok. We sat right in front of the hostess stand, and she seemed angry, and we felt like she was glaring at us all night. It may be that she was angry about the slow service, but we felt her wrath. The food and wine was very good, and the waitstaff was friendly and capable. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed our dinner very much except for the disapproving hostess.

A great place to eat some great food, a fancy, drink, and be seen! A little on the $ side, but worth it (and most plates can and should be shared to get all the flavors). A place I routinely take visitors new to Seattle (or Cap Hill).
