Blacklock is a modern take of the Great British chophouse nestled in the corner of a Grade II listed textiles warehouse. We take the best meat in the country from the award-winning farmer and butcher Philip Warren in Cornwall. We cook chops simply over our charcoal grill with a little help from vintage Blacklock irons and serve it all up alongside cocktails from the trolley and wine on tap in our subterranean chop mecca. On Sundays we serve a Roast almost as good as Mum's. We have limited spaces for Walk-ins, so we encourage booking in advance to avoid disappointment during busy times. A relaxed wine-led rooftop restaurant with panoramic views of Manchester City Centre, a daily changing menu, and a cellar with more than 400 different wines to choose from.Climat is the second site from the team behind Covino, who set up shop in Chester's historic city centre back in 2016. The team has since forged a reputation both regionally & nationally as a fiercely passionate wine-led restaurant with exciting daily changing menus.Head Chef Luke Richardson best describes his style of cooking as 'Parisian ex-pat food' - a nod to his time spent cooking in the cosmopolitan kitchens of Paris.As the name 'Climat' might suggest, our cellar of more than 400 different wines has a slight lean toward our favourite region of all - Burgundy. Outside of Burgundy you’ll find a healthy selection of other favourites from around the world, with wines from small producers, to the more iconic, and all the top vignerons that sit between.

Higher Ground is a bistro and bar located in Manchester city centre that focuses on seasonality within the UK using produce sourced from local suppliers and producers. The restaurant is open Wed-Sat at dinner and Thurs-Sat lunch. From 14th November ’24, Higher Ground is opening on Thursday lunchtimes and is now open from 5pm on Wednesdays and Thursdays!At lunch a £40pp seasonal sharing menu is offered alongside an à la carte menu. At dinner, both an à la carte and a seasonal sharing menu at £58pp are available. Both menus are available when sat at the kitchen bar counter.We often hold space for walk-ins at the kitchen bar counter so pop by and have some plates and a glass of wine!Reservations of up to twelve guests are accepted. For parties of 6x guests and over, the seasonal sharing menu is served.

    We had an exceptionally nice meal out here! The service was second to none, and they also made sure to look after our dog too. Great food, great wine and great vibe. My only disappointment was the portion size of the Chips considering the price, and that one of the steaks we ordered could've been a little hotter in temperature.

    We visited on a Monday lunch beautiful building and a lovely warm welcome nothing was too much trouble. The food we chose was delicious highly recommend a visit we will definitely be back thank you

    Our favourite place in the city, for a special occasion or to take friends. Stand out food every time, friendly and helpful team, all in a laid back setting with the best views in town. Gochujang beef tartare is etched into my taste buds for life!

    Honestly the most amazing food i’ve ever had, the service was so speedy and welcoming!! the atmosphere was great and god don’t get me started on the focaccia, it was DIVINE!! This was the best restaurant i’ve been to in Manchester 100%
