Born from nostalgia for a traditional style of commerce and a desire to challenge perceptions that French dining is formal or fussy, we work with independent suppliers to offer a regularly changing wine list & tapas style menu. A home from home where hospitality comes first. Café 21 is a sociable and effortlessly stylish space, serving crafted comforts, lunch bites and sweet treats. This breakfast, lunch and early evening venue is the place for a mid-shopping trip lunch, business meeting, afternoon tea, or a quiet cup of the good stuff. A place where ‘me time’ matters.Booking is not required however we do take reservations from 2:00 onwards for Afternoon Tea.Our last booking is at 4:45pm Monday to Saturday and 3:45 on Sunday.

    Lovely lunch with family. We had Woodmans pizza, Woodmans burger and chicken supreme. All well presented, tasty and reasonable value for money. We had a couple of glasses of the pinot grigio blush which wete lovely and also a couple of diet pepsi. Foe dessert we didn't have food, so we had lattes and a hot chocolate. All lovely and just enough after our main meals. Altogether a lovely meal in a lovely setting.

    If you’re thinking of visiting the French quarter you won’t be disappointed, this is our favourite restaurant in Newcastle! The staff are very friendly and helpful to make sure you get the best experience, great atmosphere and the food is outstanding! This was our third visit and it’s been superb all three times! I highly recommend the French quarter to anyone, especially anyone looking for the best French restaurant! Already looking forward to our next visit. Thanks again!

    Absolutely love this restaurant - great vibe in the middle of the food hall with an open kitchen that’s excellent for chef watching ! Food is delicious - and especially the steaks and best truffle & Parmesan fries I’ve ever tasted You can choose from both Porterhouse & Saltwater Fish menus which is quite unique in Newcastle Service is excellent and friendly and they have a great wine list
