Inspired by the best pizza of New York City and Naples, Italy. In 2005, Annie and Craig Stoll annexed the space next door to their James Beard Award winning Delfina restaurant fulfilling a long time dream of bringing Neapolitan-inspired pizzas to San Francisco. The 600 square foot space was an instant neighborhood hotspot, and Pizzeria Delfina became the ""darling of the San Francisco food scene"" opening a second location in 2008 to popular demand. In 2014, Annie and Craig expanded into the Peninsula with Pizzeria Delfina in Palo Alto. We were delighted with our dining experience at Khazana. We are avoiding carbs so ordered dishes that focused on meat and vegetables: Peanut slaw (delicious, crunchy and fresh!), chickpea fritters (4 per order - delicious with great chutney sauce); Eggplant bharga? Not sure the name but the preparation and sauce were incredible and not bitter or too smokey) and the fish tikka masala - absolutely fabulous. . Only gave 3 stars for service because no one waited on us for about 10 minutes after arriving. But once they attended us the service was excellent. Appreciate that we could sample the wines available by the glass to decide. Hope they will consider adding Belgian style triples and golden ales (Like Pranqster) to their extensive beer menu which go great with Indian food. Sadly the beer menu was focused on hoppy, bitter IPAs and lagers. The cocktail flavors were exotic and fun (loved the Saffron Negroni). Will definitely come back to try more of the menu.
