Beautiful Modern Mediterranean restaurant by Chefs Laura and Sayat (Star Chefs and San Francisco Chronicle Rising Stars) at the Main Parade Lawn in the heart of the Presidio National Park. The restaurant's menus feature Presidio-inspired seasonal craft cocktails, a progressive wine menu, and a cuisine that balances the comfort of familiar Mediterranean flavors with California sensibilities. Kokkari (pronounced “Ko-Kar-ee”) is a small fishing village located on the islands of Samos in the Aegean Sea, whose name is derived from the small onions that were once produced in the nearby fields. The restaurant is very pretty, the staff all very friendly and attentive. The food was delicious. The tables are a little too close to each other and it’s a bit loud but we will definitely come again.

Really beautiful food, although over all service was good the server didn’t seem to know how to describe anything on the menu when asked, lucky for us we ordered things anyway and they didn’t disappoint.

Wonderful service and creative and delicious dim sum styled offerings. Our only complaint relates to the portion sizes, especially the vegetable dishes. The brussel sprout plate had approximately six brussel sprouts and another dish had five tiny bites. Surprisingly, the meat dishes were more generous, though obviously more expensive. A bit more generosity in the vegetable department would be appreciated.

My husband and I went to the New Year's Day special 3-course brunch. The menu selection was excellent, the service was great, and the overall setting was lovely. My 3-course meal included the crab toast, Lobster egg benedicts, and apple tart. All the dishes were excellent. The freshly baked coffee cake was excellent too. If they decide to do it again next New Year's Day, I will sign up again.
