The Grain House Restaurant is located on the picturesque 10-acre estate of the Olde Mill Inn in Basking Ridge, NJ. The Grain House structure was originally built as a barn in the 1760’s and was used to store grain for American Revolutionary soldiers. The barn was later moved to its current location and opened as a restaurant in the 1930’s. Today, the Grain House is a renowned restaurant in North/Central New Jersey, with a comfortable, casual ambiance. Came here for brunch with a friend for brunch, the place is very cute and cozy. The service was a little lacking-since there was only one waitress. The food was ok- I had the egg Benedict & my friend had chocolate chip pancakes. I would definitely come back to try their pizza but not for brunch.

We celebrated our wedding anniversary at Chef Fredy's and greatly enjoyed ourselves. My wife is gluten free, and they were able to make nearly everything on the menu available to her. The scallops appetizer and stuffed salmon entree were delicious. The gluten free bacon appetizer and duck were outstanding. The desserts were also very tasty. The ambiance was great. Highly recommend for a special occasion.

As always the food wine and ambience was excellent. Salvatore ensures that you are treated well. This night however due to a waiter that was fairly new to the establishment, things did not go as smoothly as in the past. Our service was inconsistent, varying between very good and needing improvement. He did try however. I do believe that once he has been there for a longer period of time he will fit right in.
