Kokkari (pronounced “Ko-Kar-ee”) is a small fishing village located on the islands of Samos in the Aegean Sea, whose name is derived from the small onions that were once produced in the nearby fields. Its fertile soil and Mediterranean climate translated into an abundance of fresh produce as well as treasured seafood and game. Legend tells that Kokkari is the site where Orion, a mighty hunter and a young man of gigantic stature and great beauty, fell in love with the daughter of the king of Chios.     If you’re looking for the quintessential steakhouse experience, Harris’ delivers. The space, the service, and the steaks are well executed, and the live music being played in the background is an amazing touch. I have to highlight the service - there wasn’t a single misstep, and paying attention to the details really made it a great dinner.

    This is a really classic San Francisco Italian restaurant. We eat here regularly and ALWAYS have the perfect meal. Wonderful for special occasions or to really show to guests as well. Personally, I hate to write this review as my husband and I feel like it is our little secret. But they deserve the world to know. Fabulous. Absolutely go! Karen and Jeff

    This is my boyfriend and I’s top date spot and The Matterhorn never disappoints. The food is always amazing and the service and staff are fantastic. One of our favorite restaurants in SF, couldn’t recommend enough!

    This is the the sister restaurant to Seven Hills. The menu is small, but everything sounded delish. I had the lasagnette. It was different from everyday lasagna, but amazing. Many layers of thin pasta with bolognese sauce and parmigiana cheese. My friends both had the spaghettiini. It has the perfect amount of spice. They have a good wine list. We shared budino for dessert and it was fabulous.
