Beautiful Modern Mediterranean restaurant by Chefs Laura and Sayat (Star Chefs and San Francisco Chronicle Rising Stars) at the Main Parade Lawn in the heart of the Presidio National Park. Kokkari (pronounced “Ko-Kar-ee”) is a small fishing village located on the islands of Samos in the Aegean Sea, whose name is derived from the small onions that were once produced in the nearby fields. Its fertile soil and Mediterranean climate translated into an abundance of fresh produce as well as treasured seafood and game. Legend tells that Kokkari is the site where Orion, a mighty hunter and a young man of gigantic stature and great beauty, fell in love with the daughter of the king of Chios.     I celebrated my birthday here on Tuesday night. My party needed a few special accommodations met and the staff fulfilled them all happily and efficiently. The food was amazing and the cocktails were exquisite! We absolutely loved our intimate nook on the street parklet with its cozy heaters and vibey chill ambience. The standout moment goes to our server LAURA! She was so warm, funny and entertaining, which is exactly what is needed to make an occasion (like my birthday party) special. She even snapped a photo of my party after the restaurant closed. Thank you LAURA!

    Excellent service and the food was great. Enjoyed the steak salad and French onion soup was cheesy and delicious. Nice view by the window as well.

    The ceviche was amazing. Couldn't put my finger on it at first, but I think it has a great balance between lime and tomato and a real kick. The mole is excellent, especially when eaten with the corn tortillas. The churros were very good, the type that is extra thick with slightly less crispy center but amazing faithful dark chocolate centers.

    The New Brixton is amazing all around! Service was great and the food was perfect. If you’re looking for reasonable priced dinner or lunch, with a great atmosphere, I highly recommend. PS. There happy hr 3-6pm EVERYDAY is well worth it! Almost 1/2 the price.

    We loved Palm House! They had some nice live music playing in the front! We happen to not mind loud good music. But if you happen to be more sensitive to noise, request a seat in the back of restaurant!
