An understated storefront hides a coveted skyline view—just one of the many ways you could underestimate this longtime cafe on Mount Baker’s main drag. The menu, the sign—even the name—are a bit of a throwback, but current owners Guy Devillier and David Hoefer took over in 2018 and keep things attuned to today. Carbonara packs more nuance than you might expect, the slightly crackly pizza’s better than it has to be, and the bar pours lambrusco and negroni. No wonder tables are loaded with a diversity of diners.

Umi Sake House is a unique Japanese cuisine restaurant in the Belltown area of Seattle featuring the highest quality seafood available in the Northwest, a large izakaya-style tapas menu, and boasting a sake list of over 60 imported Japanese bottles. My spouse and I celebrate all our special occasions at That’s Amore, birthdays, anniversaries, other celebrations. We love the owners and staff as well as the food and beautiful city view. The food is prepared with care and every bite is delicious!

Our hostess was nice and seated us with a warm smile. Our server Jake was super attentive, and very sincere in making our 1st dining experience a memorable one! The food was super tasty. We will definitely be back!

The low outdoor patio tables are very u realistic for eating sushi. If people are coming for dinner they should be seated at a table. The low tables are good for drinks and hand held but really bad for a dinner seating.
