We opened on Valentine’s Day in 1953 in downtown Clinton, NY, and we’ve been sharing our love of good food and drink as a community gathering place ever since. John and Laura Alteri opened the doors and managed the restaurant until John’s death in 1960. We rebuilt after a fire in 1963, and the tradition was carried on by John’s son and daughter-in-law, Fernando “Feet” and Beverly, until 1998. Today, third-generation owner Fran Alteri manages his family’s warm, home-styled restaurant and seasoned bar, bringing people together with classic food, beer, wine and spirits. Incredible experience. Host, server, bartender, All very professional, knowledgeable, accommodating!!! Food was amazing, portions were perfect: leftovers for the next day. ❤️ We want to go back very soon. Again, again & again. 🌟

Went with a group of 9. Some things were cold (mashed potatoes, appetizer meatballs)… but everything was very tasty. Our waiter seemed a little rushed/busy, but still provided excellent service. We appreciated the small, private room for our larger group.

This is a beautiful restaurant in an historical Utica hotel. The food is outstanding with top notch service. Our waitress, Jackie, was very attentive and friendly. I would highly recommend this place!
