Established in 1959, owners Jenny Youll and Mike Sabina expanded the once small coffeehouse of St. Michaels Alley into this intimate dining establishment in 2009. The restaurant provides three comfortable spaces for a dinner out with friends, date night, or a complete private event. The main dining room is wood paneled and intimate. The front room / bar area is more casual and social, yet still offers tables with linens and the full menu. The solid wood bar is a favorite dining spot for many of the regulars and locals. A beautiful outdoor patio is most enjoyable on warm summer days and nights as it open to the sky. We ate dinner at 2pm on Thanksgiving. The food was very good with quite a few choices. Service was prompt and attentive. We were seated in a quiet area. Seating in both outside and inside areas worked well as we were crowded into an area with too many people and too much noise.

We really enjoyed our dining experience. It took a while before water was brought to the table and we could order our drinks. But we just went to the buffet and began dinner. There were so many appetizers and entrees. All were delicious: prime rib, salmon, turkey, ribs, and chicken were amazing. The sides and appetizers were numerous and delicious. And it was a great value. There was something for everyone. As we finished, we agreed to repeat the experience.

Our server, Ella, was fantastic as always. The seasonal menu hit the spot with some new items that were different from when we ate last time. The stick toffee pudding for dessert was delicious. Can’t wait to go back again and try more items on the menu.

We were seated in the lovely side room close to a warm & comfy fireplace. The room was beautifully decorated for the holidays. We love the little lamps on each table, making it easy to read the menu. We both had the delicious Ahi, which is out of the world so fabulous. It came with some delicious spinach and we asked for the baked potato, which is our favorite. Great service and we had such a wonderful evening there!
