The Grain House Restaurant is located on the picturesque 10-acre estate of the Olde Mill Inn in Basking Ridge, NJ. The Grain House structure was originally built as a barn in the 1760’s and was used to store grain for American Revolutionary soldiers. The barn was later moved to its current location and opened as a restaurant in the 1930’s. Today, the Grain House is a renowned restaurant in North/Central New Jersey, with a comfortable, casual ambiance. The restaurant serves innovative, traditional and contemporary interpretations of American cuisine with some added international accents, prepared under the direction of Executive Chef John Benjamin. Delicious homemade desserts complete the menus, which are revised several times a year. Only my second time dining at ninety acres and just like the first time, it was an absolute delight. Our waiter tonight was Andres and he was a gem. I want to give Andres a special shoutout for being so special and such a pleasure. He was so attentive and went above and beyond to make sure our dinner was nothing less than perfection! Thank you so much for an amazing dinner. Will be back as soon as possible.

In from out of town and went for Christmas Eve dinner. Restaurant was exactly what I was hoping it would be, small family place with great service, friendly staff and delicious homemade Italian dishes. 10/10 will definitely make a point to come back next time I’m in the area.

We had a wonder first time at tap and bitter. It was a quiet Sunday but the staff checked in on us throughout our dinner. We always had water and didn’t feel rushed and they gave us time in between courses to relax and enjoy each other company
