Situated on the High Street of Eton, close to the River Thames and between the historic buildings of Eton College and Windsor Castle, Gilbey's is open from 12 noon for lunch and 6pm for dinner every day.Originally an old butcher's shop, we created one of the first wine bars outside London in 1975 - The Eton Wine Bar. After 25 years of success, we changed the name in 2000 to Gilbey's, having recognised that our food had outgrown the original wine bar concept. Our friendly and efficient team look forward to welcoming you in either the stunning Conservatory Restaurant, cosy Front Bar and Townhouse, one of our newly opened Townhouse guest bedrooms or our top floor studio apartment-our exclusive guest accommodation.

Originally built in 1518, the building was the very first Guildhall in Windsor which was the meeting place for the Trinity Guild (the town traders) which since the 13th Century has provided the governing body for the town until it was turned into an inn & public house in 1689.
