The Nag's Head is a quintessential English pub in a village called Haughton Moss, near Tarporley in rural Cheshire. It has been re-mixed and re-imagined by the people behind the multi-award winning Altrincham Market; Mackie Mayor, Manchester and Picturedrome, Macclesfield.The Nag's Head is a listed building that dates back to its origin as a Smithy in the 1740's, on the trade route connecting the ports of Liverpool and North Wales to the Potteries.At The Nag's Head sister venues we have earned a reputation for high quality food, delivered in beautiful buildings, served informally. The point? - to make eating out with family, with friends, with kids with dogs accessible, rewarding and part of your 'everyday'.Expect seasonal changes, kitchen co-labs with our sister venues, glamping, growing and outdoorsy stuff on our adjoining 4 acres in the not-too-distant future.

Standing out from the crowd, our 400-seater restaurant is housed in a grand Grade II listed building featuring a distinct neoclassical Greek façade and mixes an industrial look with a touch of opulence inside. Opera Grill brings theatre on a grand scale to Chester. At the heart of our menu is the theatre charcoal grill and wood-burning ovens, inspired by revered chefs and restaurants from around the world.     Our experience at Piccolinos -Chester is always of the highest quality . The staff are always warm and welcoming and although it’s becoming incrementally more expensive-the food is always of the highest quality both in taste and presentation.

    The food was absolutely delicious ! Amazing value for money and the staff were lovely , service just right they gave us a bit of time between courses without rushing us through. Would highly recommend !

    Amazing night at the Opera Grill! Everything was outstanding. The food was delicious, the best fillet steak I have had in a long time. The service was friendly and the waiter was brilliant, gave recommendation on food and drink. The manager came and introduced himself, excellent service. We booked our meal in the music lounge and the band were fantastic. We live over 6 hours away from Chester, but would definitely visit again and highly recommend for the food and the whole experience.

    We’ve been wanting to try Covino since we moved to Chester almost 3 years ago and can’t believe we left it so long. Great service, good quality ingredients cooked expertly and all the dishes we tried were delicious. The wine also was really good . We we definitely be putting Covino on our rotation of great places to eat in Chester
