Convinced by his pal Frank Sinatra, Johnny opened the iconic spot just a ways down from Sony Studios on Culver Blvd. It became the watering-hole for the Hollywood elite with Sinatra often in the corner playing the piano against the dark brick walls once lined with portraits of famous John’s. Absolutely delicious food and the service was beyond what I expected for a Christmas dinner. The staff working on Christmas Day were extremely pleasant and hard working to ensure all the tables were taken care of. The food was absolutely delicious. The New York steak was beyond delicious and all our drinks were also perfection. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very nice and a place we could sit and talk comfortably.

Yeah…please don’t let the rumors cause you to miss out on this place. The entire experience was AMAZING! Starting with the Parker rolls js the one thing you should guarantee, I’ll be thinking about them for weeks. We ordered the salmon, rolls, Brussels sprouts, burger, truffle fries and TWO orders of the Chicken and caviar. Also had their take on the old fashioned and a Paloma. Our server was very knowledgeable and friendly and the icing on the cake was the conversation with their customer experience manager. She solidified the visit for us and I cannot wait to go back!

Lovely setting and really appreciated seating request at window. Glad we were away from lively (ie noisy) bar area. Food was very good and I loved the anchovies I asked to be added to the excellent Caesar salad. Service was attentive after a bit of a slow start. Good choice for special occasions or to treat visitors to a historical venue.
