We are a small, family run restaurant since 2002 specialising in carefully sourced Aberdeen Angus beef from Scottish small highland farms, cooked simply but with flair and attention to detail.Our emphasis is on high quality local ingredients and fresh produce from the best of local suppliers. Beef is selected, prepared and hung for us by Award wining "John Gilmour" of Macmerry master butchers since 1946. Fresh fish are delivered daily by Calum Sinclair and J.K Thompsons. West coast Mussels are delivered fresh daily by "Sea Mcgee". Our venison comes from wild Perthshire deer, lamb from the Scottish Borders. Artisan and farmhouse British cheeses are supplied by renowned Edinburgh cheesemonger, Iain Mellis and dairy produce from Fife Creamery. Found whilst walking on the Royal Mile, it was a great discovery. Very cosy ambience, large plates and a vast selection of delicious cocktails. We had a really nice time!

Excellent lunch at Hawksmoor food was delicious we chose the quick lunch menu which was great value for money. Staff friendly and attentive without being in your face and lovely surroundings

The best roast. We had the beef roast and the vegan one. Both great. Vegan gravy goes well with the beef. Staff were very friendly and super accommodating.

Cold town house is a beautiful atmosphere and the staff were incredible. Our server Amy was so lovely and bubbly, she recommended cocktails which were absolutely divine !! Overall we loved the food the drinks and the staff.
