The Pig and Butcher opened its doors in 2012 and has become a bit of an Islington institution. A laid back country style pub with a stunning private dining room and honest cooking showcasing the best farms in the UK. In the bar we serve craft beers, wine from family-owned vineyards only, aperitif cocktails and a selection of local hand pulled ales.

Llerena takes its name from a little village in Extremadura, southwest Spain, where four generations of our family has raised Iberian pigs since 1939, producing authentic "Bellota" jamón ibérico, chorizo and other pork delicacies. Our family created a business around the farm called Jamón y Salud to sell our gourmet products and has now brought this exquisite taste of Spain to Islington with the Llerena Ibérico Tapas Bar. Not only can you sample ibérico pork grilled meats and finest jamón, but also creamy Torta del Casar cheese and other traditional Extremadura's delights as well as the best wine from our region.

Blacklock is a modern version of the Great British chophouse. Set in an old brothel, we take the best meat in the country from the award winning farmer and butcher Philip Warren in Cornwall. We cook chops simply over our real charcoal grill with a little help from vintage Blacklock irons and serve it all up alongside cocktails that give back and wine on tap in our atmospheric subterranean chop mecca.     I've been coming here for about 15 years and love it. I follow a gluten free diet and was thrilled to see that their Fried Brie starter is now GF. I don't know what they now coat it in but it was so much better than the previous recipe. Very light & delicious! I also had the Filet de Poulet Farçi and it was such a generous portion that I couldn't quite finish it but it was fabulous. I highly recommend.

    Couldn't recommend MUST wine bar islington enough! Great environment but even better hosts - Anisa and Victoria made our valentines and anniversary date so special! They took their time helping us decide on what to order and offered samples to taste. We were very pleasantly surprised with glasses of champagne on our arrival, and even more so when they told us they would like to gift us a free bottle to take home! Will definitely be going back - thanks again!
