We’ve long loved Canary Wharf and it's rich history of the nearby Docklands and Billingsgate Market, yet Blacklock in a glass tower never quite fit. One look at an old disused warehouse nestled cosily in the corner of Canary Wharf underneath the train tracks of the North Dock and we knew we had found home. Feel the comforting rumble of trains passing overhead conjuring memories of some of our favourite haunts underneath the bridges in NYC - a place where, with the blinds rolled down and away from prying eyes, a decadent lunch can swiftly roll into dinner.

Blacklock is a modern version of the Great British chophouse. Set in an old electricity substation on the site of London"s oldest meat market. We take the best meat in the country from the award-winning farmer and butcher Philip Warren in Cornwall. We cook chops simply over our real charcoal grill with a little help from vintage Blacklock irons and serve it all up alongside cocktails that give back and wine on tap in our atmospheric subterranean chop mecca. Hawksmoor Wood Wharf is housed in an eco-friendly floating pavilion in a new riverside neighbourhood in Canary Wharf. Gently rising and falling with the tide, the main restaurant at dock-level is joined by a 120-seat waterside bar. Both include terraces with views across the water (squint your eyes and you might just see the ghosts of great ships laden with mighty lengths of timber that used to swing in and unload there). There's also a private dining room for up to 20 people named after the local legend Queenie Watts, a singer, songwriter, actor and self-confessed bawdy landlady (think Peggy Mitchell meets Joni Mitchell). Service was exceptional..from the girl at the front door - who resolved our ask - to the staff in the restaurant..everyone was so accommodating…food was just so creative and tasty. We loved it..what we would have loved perhaps was some soft background music. Definitely would recommend.

Everything about the experience was great, from our hostess to our waiter. Food was all outstanding, and for the quality of it, the value was insane! This was recommended by a friend and I would pay that forward for anyone else visiting London and looking to enjoy a beautiful meal in an inviting setting that feels comfortable and relaxed.

Awesome evening. Incredible food including possibly the best steak ever….🤔 I eat steak anywhere and everywhere around the world and i honestly believe this really was best ever. Prime bone in was to die for 👌🏼 Service from Prometheus & Louis was exemplary also. Wonderful experience, see you real soon ❤️
