Casa Vega, in Sherman Oaks, opened its doors in 1956 and has been serving the people of Southern California ever since. Local residents, and even celebrities, have flocked to the family-run Mexican restaurant currently run by Christy Vega Fowler, daughter of original owner, Rafael Vega. While the decor is modern, the menu still reflects traditional Mexican menu staples. The extensive menu allows for every person to find something to enjoy. Went for a friend's birthday as a group of six. Highly recommend having a group that you can share all the delicious tapas and taste some of everything. Everything we ordered was delicious and spaced out really nicely at 3 to 4 plates at a time. Really impressed with the menu and the chef. Variety was great and we had plenty to order as vegetarians. Really looking forward to go back.

A beautiful seamless evening celebrating a birthday. Layla, our server was amazing! Warm and attentive. My filet mignon and my partner’s short ribs were outstanding. Roasted brussel sprouts were one of my favorites! Gorgeous view, we will be back very soon.

The experience was nice - we were seated first at the broken table, which hostess was aware of so she moved us. I think the table should be fixed before you seat your guests there - not appropriate. Very long wait for food - when it arrived was cold pizza and pasta, probably was out for a while. The birthday desert was on the house which is very nice
