Located in the heart of Gramercy in the restored Assembly Hall of the landmarked United Charities Building, Hawksmoor is a steak restaurant that celebrates all-natural, pasture-reared, and traditionally dry-aged beef. Our beef is seasoned simply with sea salt and cooked over live-fire charcoal. Our seafood is locally and sustainably sourced from northeastern waters and we use small-farm produce whenever possible. On Sunday afternoons Hawksmoor keeps with the tried-and-true British tradition and features a Sunday Roast.     We arrived at our reservation early and they allowed us to go ahead and sit. Such a warm, friendly restaurant! The appetizers (delicata squash and meatball sliders) were delicious, as was the special ravioli, roast chicken, risotto, and all the desserts! The only underwhelming dish was the daily fish, but it really didn’t matter because everything else was so great. We felt super welcome, even with two young kids. Please go visit them if you want a special meal while in NYC!

    Our entire experience was amazing! We took our 3 teenagers and they all tried several foods they had never had before. The server was so kind to explain things to them and walk them through the menu. Service was amazing, the food was amazing, the open kitchen made it a more relaxed environment and so cool to watch the chefs. We had such a great night!

    The dinner was spectacular in every way. Hygge in New York! The atmosphere was cozy, congenial and filled with Christmas cheer. Flowers and soft candle light everywhere. The punterelle salad was perfectly dressed with ample anchovies, the sea bream en papillote was tender and infused with deep flavor. Add a perfectly balanced negroni sbagliatto to start and the evening was perfect.

    Amazing experience at Olio! The food was excellent and they were able to accommodate gluten free pasta with their pasta dishes, so good you couldn’t even tell! Also the panna cotta was one of the best desserts I’ve ever had!!! I’ll definitely be coming again!
