In an intimate Victorian inspired space, it features dramatic arched ceilings and lush velvet textiles. Avelo Restaurant is located in a heritage townhouse on a quiet street in Yorkville and serves some of the city's finest plant-based cuisine. Our aim is to deliver an extraordinary and immersive dining experience where the servers guide guests through an exploration of many small plates highlighting seasonal ingredients while offering insight into each dish. We also offer an optional wine pairing and are able to accommodate many dietary restrictions with advance notice.Avelo hosts two dinner seatings per evening where guests choose between the 5-course or the 8-course* tasting menu. The seating times are 5-6:15pm and 7:45-8:30pm. Prices:5-course:$70/person Wed, Thu, Sun$85/person Fri-Sat8-course*:$115/person Wed, Thu, Sun$135/person Fri-SatFor a more casual plant-based experience, see our other concept, Bar Avelo, which focuses on cocktails, and offers an a la carte Tapas menu.*The 8 course meal is only available during our second seating time from 7:45-8:30pm

    Beautiful old home with upstairs and downstairs seating. We sat upstairs and the decor was gorgeous with great music in the background. The service was impeccable and the food was to match. A very enjoyable experience.

    The service food was superb, great Thai food from genuine Thai staff. Me and my date had a really great night there. They we're attentive to us and even remembered that one of us was Vegan on the RSVP notes. It was Valentines Day and they had a live band as well to set the mood real nice, so good. Definitely recommend the place.

    A great tasting menu! With very innovative vegan dishes with unique ingredients. We were there to celebrate my husband's birthday and received a nice little surprise for dessert.

    A quick supper before Mirvish's 15 Dogs downtown, so we opted for this unfamiliar café, charmingly occupying an old house on two floors with exposed brick walls & an early 19th century vibe. But nearly full & hopping with mainly a young crowd on this snowy Tuesday night. From the café style menu we opted for an excellent arugula salad with pecans & cranberries to share with a veggie burger and lasagna, both tasty & generous. Xavier our young server enhanced the meal with his attention & conversation.
