The restaurant is built in elegant and ornamental Art Nouveau style, evoking the sense of optimism from the turn of the 20th century. The brasserie’s menu features both classic and modern French dishes, with focus on the meat program, raw bar and extravagant large-format meats, ideal for sharing and celebrating. Mahogany wood and glass partitions divide the gargantuan space to create intimate dining experiences. These pieces are adorned in gilded accents and uniquely curved arches inspired by the 20th-century Art Nouveau movement of Paris. We're happy to offer a $80/per person chef-curated prix fixe to celebrate Valentine's Day with your special someone. The full menu can be found below. We will not be offering our normal dinner menu on that day.Since our early days as a tea room, we’ve been a respite for locals and visitors alike, offering a haven for conversation and memorable cuisine. The tradition continues as our culinary team has curated an inventive and elevated menu through New American cuisine while paying homage to the beloved dishes that have been served at the Tabard Inn for years. A DC institution since 1922, we look forward to offering our guests all the comforts of a home away from home. Executive Chef Matthew Zafrir came to the Tabard in 2023, bringing with him experience from various fine dining restaurants around D.C. such as minibar by José Andrés, Cranes, Revelers Hour.

    We were recommended to Ocean Prime by a Congressman. We sat at the bar. Excellent service, excellent food selections. Only issue was steak was overcooked. But not keeping us from coming back for dinner tonight

    The management of Olio e Piu gave us a complementary meal after a good but less than stellar review for a dinner we had there during Restaurant Week. We took them up on the offer and had lunch there on a Saturday afternoon. The restaurant was busy (a surprise to us for a downtown DC location) and the vibe was happy. We both had the delicious Farfalla Rossa cocktail. We had the Burrata Mediterraneo and Vitello Tonnato appetizers, Fusilli Cinghiale e Funghi pasta and Bronzino del Marinaio for entrees, and Tiramisu and pear and chocolate desserts. The food was excellent! Our server, Ximena, was friendly, efficient and knowledgeable, as was the rest of the staff. Thank you, Hospitality Team of Olio e Piu, for offering us this second chance at your restaurant. It tells us that you care about your patrons and the food and hospitality you provide. That's much appreciated these days.

IM A SKINNY BIG GIRL WHO LOVES TO EAT, AND THE FOOD WAS FOODIN BABY!! PRICES WERE VERY REASONABLE, DRINKS WERE OK IF YOU LIKED FRUITY DRINKS (SO I STUCK TO SHOTS)!! LEWIS AND THYNIS ( I PRAY THATS THE CORRECT SPELLING OF THE YOUNG LADY NAME) WERE DEFINITELY DOIN THEIR BIG ONE!! GREAT PERSONALITY, VIBE, SERVICE, EVERYTHING!!!
