The Grain House Restaurant is located on the picturesque 10-acre estate of the Olde Mill Inn in Basking Ridge, NJ. The Grain House structure was originally built as a barn in the 1760’s and was used to store grain for American Revolutionary soldiers. The barn was later moved to its current location and opened as a restaurant in the 1930’s. Today, the Grain House is a renowned restaurant in North/Central New Jersey, with a comfortable, casual ambiance. The restaurant serves innovative, traditional and contemporary interpretations of American cuisine with some added international accents, prepared under the direction of Executive Chef John Benjamin. Food is very consistent. Never get a bad meal. Nicole our server was outstanding. Friendly, polite, cheerful, great service, just a very nice person. We go there pretty often, and the pizza is pretty good too.

I celebrated my lady's birthday. Everyone was nice. The servers. The cook. Helping me celebrate a beautiful birthday with a special request of cheesecake and her birthday age written nicely on the plate. The food was excellent. B.Y.O.B. was an amazing experience. Very elegant. Highly recommended. Thank you for everything!

I was hesitant at first with this being attached to a hotel, but the food was exquisite--perfect for a date night or an above average cost for dinner. The burrata was out of this world and the lobster roll had a hidden mayo/lemon combo that had me tossing up my hands with excitement. My wife had the Salmon over a pumpkin and curry squash that was EASILY the star of the show. We both left planning for when we could make the drive back for another meal. Highly recommended.
