A typical food love story. A boy meets a girl while eating pizza. He attends culinary school and open’s a pizza restaurant named after the girl. Thus bringing us to Emily! The Manhattan iteration of the Brooklyn based pizzeria centered around a historic brick oven and comforting food. Emily has earned a following for its signature Detroit-style pies and award winning burger. The pizza here is rectangular (not round) and utilizes the "frico" technique, in which cheese is drizzled on the edges of the pie to create a crispy brown exterior. Beyond the main event, the menu extends to include salads and sandwiches, which shouldn't be ignored (think an attention-grabbing burger and a top-notch spicy fried chicken sandwich). Please note, there will be a time limit of 1 hour 30 minutes for guests so we can fairly utilize our limited capacity. Our outdoor dining is enclosed with heaters that will keep you toasty! Our time at BK High Low today was lovely! It was the perfect way to spend a birthday with good friends. We sat in the garden on the coldest day of the year but mostly were cozy beside our frozen toes, which is just the nature of being anywhere in the cold. The tea was delicious and they had such a diverse selection. The scones were fluffy and beautifully textured but we were not impressed with the sandwiches. The desserts were good but we agreed the tea and scones are the best part. I will say that we were a party of 7 outside so we were harder to reach but the service was not outstanding. All in all, I would surely recommend the Grand Vanderbilt at least once for the special experience that full afternoon tea is. It doesn't hurt that the HIgh Low's parlor spaces are so delightful! I will return again for cream tea without the extra food but I am so glad I chose BHL for our get-together:)

We were sat quickly around the time o f our reservation. The service we received and the food was excellent. We were a party of 6 and all of us absolutely loved our meal. We cannot wait to go back again soon!
