Mia Francesca features the zesty, earthy cuisine of Rome and the surrounding areas of Tuscany, Umbria, and Lazio. It was one of the first restaurants in Chicago to encourage the lively art of dining with a contemporary, casually sophisticated trattoria ambiance, simple, rustic cooking, friendly service, and fair prices.Waiting for a table at the beautiful antique bar is part of the charm of Mia Francesca. The plush upstairs dining room and lounge can be reserved for private events, as can the more intimate coach house tucked away behind the restaurant. In the summer, al fresco dining is also available on a charming cobblestone terrace.

Eden’s ever-evolving brunch, lunch, dinner and beverage menus focus on the use of high-quality and seasonal ingredients, with an approach based on simplifying the process that goes into crafting each dish. This focus produces robust, clean flavors to compliment the flowers and herbs from our on-site greenhouse that also add beauty to each dish. Our 20’ x 28’ greenhouse allows us to grow all year, reduce our carbon footprint by sourcing on-site, and it helps the local ecosystem by attracting pollinators. Our sustainability efforts also include composting organic material left over during food preparation. Free Parking is available and easily accessible in the private lot across the street from the restaurant.

Taxim, which is located in Chicago's Wicker Park neighborhood, features regionally-inspired Greek dishes paired with an all-Greek wine list.     This was our first trip to Francesca - Lincolnwood, as it only recently opened. We were great fans of Francesca's in our Edgewater neighborhood and were sorry to see it close several years ago. We were very favorably impressed with Francesca - Lincolnwood. For starters, there is a convenient and spacious parking garage right next door. We were warmly greeted by the hostess, who we noticed was keeping busy throughout the evening helping out in various other capacities to keep everything running smoothly. The menu and wine list both had lots of choices, and the portions were generous, leaving us enough leftovers to take home for a second meal the next night. The Italian chopped salad was especially delicious and is highly recommended. We also found it hard to choose from the variety of desserts, but all were great.

    Our server was extremely knowledgeable about the Greek wine list and recommended special items on the food menu. We assumed she was Greek, but when she heard my husband and our friend speaking German, she spoke Deutsch, and we learned that she is half German American and Italian American. It was an amazing meal and a wonderful way to celebrate the holidays with our friends.
