The House of William and Merry serves contemporary American cuisine prepared from the freshest seasonal ingredients procured from local farms, providing casual fine dining at a reasonable price. Chef-owned by the husband and wife team, Merry Catanuto and William Hoffman, who live on the property, the restaurant is a remodeled farmhouse on the edge of central Hockessin. Dine in a comfortable home atmosphere in one of the two dining rooms, the porch, or the bar. When you arrive, you can see right into the all new, modern kitchen. Full bar service is available including wines by the glass, microbrews on tap, and specialty drinks. Or, take a walk around back to see the herb and vegetable gardens.Tuesday through Saturday we serve lunch and dinner. On Sunday, we serve brunch followed by a prix fix supper in the evening.

Relaxed atmosphere, vibrant bar, good wine cellar (Wine Spectator Award of Excellence), great food, delicious house-crafted gelato and house-crafted pasta.     I always have a great experience at PARC, but my Christmas night dinner was nothing short of exceptional. From the warm welcome I received at check in, my wonderful server, Miss Amy’s attentive and fun service, and my delicious meal, this particular visit is one I’ll happily remember. Also, a special thank you for always treating solo diners with respect! It’s for all these reasons I’m a loyal + faithful PARC diner. Looking forward to my next visit!

    I enjoyed a Christmas Eve meal at the ever excellent Butcher + Singer. Everything was wonderful - from a warm welcome at check in, my fabulous, attentive server, Miss Brandy and, of course, the perfectly prepared food. Dining at Butcher + Singer is always a treat, but this particular meal will always be remembered as extra special. Thank you for another exceptional experience!

    It was our first Christmas Eve in town, and we wanted a quaint and local place with amazing food. We haven't been to Back Burner in some a couple years, but in my search, I noticed they were open for C.Eve. I made us reservations right away. It was the perfect place for our Christmas Eve dinner. The menu was a special holiday selection, so it was simple, but still had a nice variety of options to satisfy any taste we had (from steak to seafood to pasta). The service was amazing and the food was delicious. Not only will we return, but we would spend our holiday here again if the opportunity arose. Thank you for taking such great care of us!
