Featuring modern renditions of classic American seafood, Max’s Oyster Bar menu has something for everyone. While seafood is the focal point, there are selections for even the most ardent landlubber.     Great service and we all enjoyed the menu choices we selected. Cocktail list is very good also. Very nice dining experience in West Hartford. I recommend Union Kitchen.

    Fun place to spend Christmas Eve. Very good food. Dined at the bar. Despite some initial confusion as to whether we would be allowed share the Chef Special it was a delightful evening So much food - it’s definitely shareable!

    I used to go to Max's Oyster Bar often in the late 90's when I lived and worked in the area. I have since moved to Boston and then Maine but was able to go to Max's for lunch while visiting family over Christmas 2024. My husband and I were blown away by the menu, the food, the service, the ambiance, and the prices. We got the seafood tower plus some extra oysters and it was fantastic and a much better value than those we have ordered in Maine! Everything else on the menu looked creative and delicious and the prices were very reasonable. Matt, our server, was excellent; very knowledgable and very friendly. What a fantastic lunch. We will be back ASAP.
