Da Emma is a hidden Italian gem located right in downtown Montreal. Since the restaurant itself is located below street level, many people pass by this little trattoria every day without realizing it. The only sign for it is painted on a nearby brick wall in black and white and consists entirely of a downward pointing arrow and the word "Emma". Went to a date with my girlfriend there and we had a very nice and private place as I requested when doing the reservation, and the staff was very nice and making sure regularly that we had everything we needed. This might actually be the best place where I had a date night and plan to go back as soon as I can

A beautiful ambiance and amazing place! I was nice impressed by quality prepared menu. There is special plates for gluten intolerance persons, that impressed me much. The attitude of the service personnel (Vincent)was wonderful, kind and friendly!

Bar George is a staple for a nice (and quick) business lunch - such a beautiful building and always good food and service. Only negative surprise was that the bread basket (which included 3 pieces of bread) cost $8 - since when is bread extra?! Or the fact that bread cost extra should be mentioned by the server when they asked if we wanted bread.
