Da Emma is a hidden Italian gem located right in downtown Montreal. Since the restaurant itself is located below street level, many people pass by this little trattoria every day without realizing it. The only sign for it is painted on a nearby brick wall in black and white and consists entirely of a downward pointing arrow and the word "Emma". It is because it is a little hard to find that diners feel like they are in on a secret not everyone knows about.Inside, Da Emma goes with a sleek and modern style complete with dark wood tones and white tablecloths. A beautiful ambiance and amazing place! I was nice impressed by quality prepared menu. There is special plates for gluten intolerance persons, that impressed me much. The attitude of the service personnel (Vincent)was wonderful, kind and friendly!

Bar George is a staple for a nice (and quick) business lunch - such a beautiful building and always good food and service. Only negative surprise was that the bread basket (which included 3 pieces of bread) cost $8 - since when is bread extra?! Or the fact that bread cost extra should be mentioned by the server when they asked if we wanted bread.

Overall, Palma is a very nice experience. The food is very good, but not excellent. The prices are somewhat high and roughly in line with the food presentation and quality. But I found it slightly overpriced. That said, service was very good and the overall ambience and energy very nice.
