The Grain House Restaurant is located on the picturesque 10-acre estate of the Olde Mill Inn in Basking Ridge, NJ. The Grain House structure was originally built as a barn in the 1760’s and was used to store grain for American Revolutionary soldiers. The barn was later moved to its current location and opened as a restaurant in the 1930’s. Today, the Grain House is a renowned restaurant in North/Central New Jersey, with a comfortable, casual ambiance. The restaurant serves innovative, traditional and contemporary interpretations of American cuisine with some added international accents, prepared under the direction of Executive Chef John Benjamin. Incredible experience as always! We had the pleasure of meeting and being helped by Adam, who went above and beyond to make sure we were set for a great night. He really set the tone and was wonderful in answering any questions and ensuring we were happy as the night continued. We started with the oysters and caviar which blew us out of the water! I had the pork chop and he had a filet - both outstanding dishes and complimented by the mashed potato’s and sweet potato casserole! Every dish was incredible, the restaurant was set up beautifully as always and the atmosphere was fantastic. We live right around the corner and can’t wait to be back!!

Lovely little place with good food. Kid friendly which is a plus or not depending on what you want. Strange layout with little privacy so not very intimate. Staff is very friendly.
