Opened in 2017. Michelin-recommended since 2022.We first imagined Aloette to be the perfect diner that we’d want to dine in – a menu with a great cheeseburger paired with a fantastic and fun wine list, a long row of bar stools facing the bar and the kitchen, and an energetic atmosphere accented with an old school hip hop playlist. The buzz of the dining room mirrors the energy of the street on Spadina Avenue; the dining room itself mimics a train’s dining car. It’s a bistro-meets-diner-meets-internationally-inspired menu which is also representative of the diverse culture in Toronto. Our service team is upbeat and genuine but also deeply knowledgeable about the menu and offerings. Brunch at Aloette was something we said we’d never do. But the city kept asking and we’re glad to be a new staple in the Queen West neighbourhood for mimosas, chicken and waffles, and piping hot coffees. Top-notch service: Ali was extremely knowleable and able to help us decide on our menu choices. All the other staff was attentive as well. The food was outstanding along with the restaurant being beautifully decorated with a relaxing atmosphere. Highly Recommended!

Food was excellent. Ambiance was great. Service was exceptional. One star was lost because of two things: (1) the table was not wiped before giving us the dessert menu. There were crumbs on the table; (2) the Negroni did not have the big square ice cube but had ice chunks. Excuse given by server was lame - they had no room to store the ice cubes.

We went for the oysters and we were not disappointed! Both our server (long time server of Pure Spirits whose name sadly forget) and the manager served us and chatted about the oyster we had ordered. Overall we lived all the food we ordered and the attentiveness of our server.

We had a great time at Gusto 501. We ordered carpaccio, baked brussel sprouts, and Pepperoni pizza from the Happy Hour menu, and Truffle Pasta and Risotto from the main menu. All meals were delicious.
