Our second ever HopCat location opened back in 2013! Located right outside of Michigan State University's campus and around the corner from the MSU Union, this location features multiple TVs to make sure you’ll have the best seat in the house to catch the Spartans. HopCat was founded on the principles of bringing local craft beer a bit closer to the communities we love. We’re known for our award-wining Cosmik fries, which are beer battered, sprinkled with our signature cracked black pepper seasoning, and served with a side of warm cheese sauce.     Really great place for are first time there! My fiancé got the shrimp and crab cake, he wishes he would have gotten something else but he loved the lobster bisque! I got raw oysters, yumm!! With seared scallops with sweat potato and miso risotto! 10/10 over all it was a great place!!

    Valentines Day Date Night Made reservations for 8:30 Showed up at 8:25 and was told our table wasn’t ready and we could go wait at the bar on the third floor. Found 2 seats at the bar and grabbed cocktails while waiting. Service was attentive and our table was ready at 8:45. We were able to take our drinks down to our table. Had the bread and pesto and arancini for appetizers. Both delicious. Hubby had lamb chops and I got scallops. Excellent! Wanted to take tiramisu to go and they were sold out. Flourless chocolate cake was the only other option and that didn’t sound good. Waitstaff was great! Ambience very quiet and packed in tables for dining room. Probably would have preferred to have eaten in the bar area which had a better vibe. Overall a good dining experience and very cool building
