Rat’s Restaurant is the perfect dining destination. Named for the fabled entertaining character in Kenneth Graham’s children’s classic, The Wind in the Willows, Rat’s Restaurant is designed to give visitors the sense they have stepped into a village reminiscent of the impressionist painter Claude Monet’s beloved town of Giverny. Rustic fireplaces, country French cuisine, seasonal hand-crafted cocktails and an eclectic beer and wine list are just the beginning. Lucca’s is an oasis in a vast wasteland. The food, service and ambiance are great. But what sets this place apart from other great Italian restaurants is the live music. As a musician myself, I can assure you that the live music at Lucca’ is not just nice. It’s phenomenal — seriously fantastic pro musicians and great singer. (We heard Eddie Bruce sing and he is nothing short of terrific.) No other restaurant in the philly area has this kind of tremendous vibe. When you go, show some respect and dress up !! Love the dress code, too. As a first timer, I just can’t say enough good things about this spot.

This is my second time coming for a Birthday dinner, the food and the ambience are always amazing. The staff is kind and accommodating. The restaurant is beautiful and the portions are wonderful!
