Designated historical, 740 is one of Colorado's two oldest remaining saloons; transformed back to its 1904 roots; a traditional American dining saloon with a turn of the century ambiance featuring a magnificent room dominating bar, built in 1880 by the Brunswick Company,. The copper spit trough, once equipped with running water, still exists at the front of the bar. Party of 5 had dinner 12/28 and had a lovely time. We loved the atmosphere and it was exactly what we were looking for. Not noisy with stuff clanking around. It was perfect. The front of the house staff were friendly and our waiter was fantastic - attentive without being intrusive and friendly. We ordered the calamari, cheese and spinach dip and mussels appetizers which were all wonderful. Dinner orders ranged from entree salads, hamburger, fish, short ribs and steak and all were cooked to order and delicious. I had been there for lunch several times but this was the first for dinner. We will definitely go back. It was all lovely.

Been going for years and they are still the best gluten free fried chicken in town. They work with dietary restrictions and it makes the meal even better.

Benihana has been hit or miss for many years. Grabbed a last minute reservation on Christmas Eve, and to my surprise, fantastic experience! Had Mike “splash & meadow” as our chef. He was entertaining and fun. Food was the best I remember. Thankful for the entire staff for being so engaged on a holiday evening. I’m sure they’d rather be with their families, but everything exceeded expectations. The restaurant was insanely busy, but we were seated right at the reservation time. I could not have asked for a better evening.
