Open for indoor and outdoor dining and curbside takeout. Outdoors dining is subject to the weather. We have heaters but not for all tables. Please dress warmly. If there is a chance of rain we will have to cancel.Shiro has been named the Zagat Guide's number one restaurant and is consistently one of the highest rated establishments in the guide (#5 in 2011; #2 for service in 2013). We have been coming to Shiro's for many years and, once again, they reminded us why this is our favorite "special occasion" restaurant. The food is always excellent -- tasty and beautifully presented. Last night we enjoyed 2 favorites, the salmon tartar tacos and the catfish. The staff is very friendly and attentive and the atmosphere is lovely including the soft jazz piano playing on the sound system.

One of the best steak dinners I have ever had. The grass fed Australian ribeye was of the best quality. And it was cooked perfectly. Lightly charred with a warm pink center. The mushroom medley was exceptional. And the cocktails were unique. Colorful and delicious. At $250 for two people, it was not an everyday meal. But well worth the splurge.

Everything was amazing! The K-Town chicken wings are a must, as well as the bread and butter. The mac n cheese was piping hot and everyone enjoyed their meal! Our server (I think his name was Randy) was AWESOME!! He is also there for Sunday brunch.

Shinsen Gumi is one of the best Japanese dining experiences in Los Angeles, if not California. They started in a little shop in Gardena and have grown a lot over the years. They have excellent food and I always walk away happy. Great for casual dining with friends. Some shops are louder than others. But this is by design. Japanese restaurants like this in Japan are loud, friendly places. You don't go there to quietly chat. Keep up the good work and the great food!
