Casa Vega, in Sherman Oaks, opened its doors in 1956 and has been serving the people of Southern California ever since. Local residents, and even celebrities, have flocked to the family-run Mexican restaurant currently run by Christy Vega Fowler, daughter of original owner, Rafael Vega. Petit Trois Le Valley, the second outpost of Chef Ludo Lefebvre's beloved bistro, opened its doors in 2018 in Sherman Oaks. Bacari is in a location that was once a French restaurant called “Rive Gauche.” It was a favorite of my mother’s and mine for twenty years. I cannot tell you how happy I was to see this reopen. It's a beautiful venue with gorgeous facilities, bringing back many great memories for me. I cannot say enough about my personal experience being there, but the food and service were excellent, and, of course, you cannot beat this location. I've already told three of my friends I'm taking them there. I lost my mother a couple of months ago, so it's poignant, but I know how much she would've loved seeing it now. Thank you, Bacari.

Excellent service, and the food was prepared perfectly. We appreciated the 4:30 opening, instead of 5 pm, because we like to have dinner early. We plan on making a Larsen’s dinner our Christmas tradition from now on. What I DO NOT appreciate is all the “verification” it took from Open Table to know that i am who I say I am. Really—phone number, email, and pass codes to BOTH? Ridiculous!! My financial institutions do not have so many verification steps.
