Recently, when we are at a couple of great yet casual restaurants in Laguna Beach, CA and Montreal, we saw how there was a number of people who were obviously regulars and we remarked at how nice it would be to have a place like that in Portland. L'Orange is now that place for us. Cozy, unpretentious and completely reasonable, it is that place where you instantly feel comfortable and at ease. There isn't that fussiness and haute haughtiness that have come to define other high dining experiences here in Portland. The food is superb with their inventive takes on French cuisine that throws you for a loop, yet still entreats you with fond remembrances of the melody it riffs off of. The chicken liver tart bears a special mention; it was nothing I would have imagined it to be but certainly everything sublime in the way it tasted. The service was equally as outstanding, discreet yet friendly, the staff navigating the cozy quarters deftly and attentive to the guests' needs. L'Orange deserves every accolade it gets and we are happy to now count this as a place we want to come back to again and again.

During a recent evening at Nostrana in Portland, my girlfriend and I were thoroughly impressed by the exceptional dining experience. The restaurant’s ambiance, with its vaulted ceilings and iron chandelier, creates a warm and inviting atmosphere that perfectly complements its Italian-inspired menu. The food at Nostrana is nothing short of outstanding. Every dish reflects a commitment to high-quality ingredients, masterful preparation, and an authentic approach to Italian-inspired cuisine. The flavors are perfectly balanced, with an elegance that showcases the kitchen’s expertise. The service was attentive and knowledgeable, with staff providing insightful recommendations and ensuring our needs were met throughout our Dinner. In summary, our evening at Nostrana was a memorable culinary journey, and we eagerly anticipate our next visit to explore more of their exquisite offerings.

Service was very good. The entire team was incredible. The food was great. It was our anniversary, so we received a wonderful dessert from the staff.

We’ve blown past Parkway Grille for years—made FUN of it, even—why would we go out on a date to a random hotel restaurant with a view of the freeway? But we kept seeing reviews and even articles about the place, so we tried it on a whim. HOLY WOW, we’ve been missing out on an amazing dining experience, right under our noses, this whole time! The service was impeccable—Isaac is absolutely delightful and gave us killer menu suggestions; the other server, Carrie, is SO much fun to talk to—and the drinks! Zhanna is an epic bartender and she personally delivers the most beautiful cocktails to your table! The food was other worldly—my husband’s ribeye was perfect and my salmon was delicious. The appetizers were perfect, dessert was wonderful—the entire bill was really reasonable, and we’re kicking ourselves for skipping over Parkway Grille for so long. We can’t wait to go back!
