Happy Out is adding another string to its bow and taking on the Dublin brunch scene. At the weekend there will be an adventurous brunch menu with a variety of coffees and brewing methods to explore. During the week, we will be giving the people what the want; coffee, toasties and a full breakfast menu.There are seats in the middle around the open kitchen so you can enjoy the hustle and bustle of everything going on. Down the back there is a bright mezzanine area with a skylight and then we have some outdoor table in our lovely sun trap out the back.This brick and mortar style cafe is the love child of one of the owners, Brian. Taking inspiration from his travels around the world and his family kitchen. The breakfast tacos from his trips around Central/South America, The Levain flatbread from his sourdough starter and soufflé pancakes from eating his way around Japan.

With quality stonework and attractive sloping edges Lock 10 is one of 46 along the Royal Canal and continues to be a testament to the skill of the craftsmen involved. Our bar is adjacent to the Lock Keepers House, a post that became obsolete in 1961 when the canal was closed to traffic the previous year. Spent a wonderful Saturday evening at the Schoolhouse with my wife and 2 young daughters. The food, ambiance and overall service from the staff were all outstanding. A special mention to Germano for really going the extra mile to look after my family. It was greatly appreciated, and we will definitely be back soon as the food was also outstanding.
