The Old Post Office is a community pub in the heart of Fishponds. We offer an extensive drink selection including real ales and traditional ciders, alongside craft beers and a vast spirit collection.We serve food from 10am-9pm daily, offering traditional pub food at great value for money with daily offers and deals. Breakfast is served from 10am-12pm with a good range of hot drinks available. We accept reservations for any occasion, please visit the ‘Reserve a Table’ section to book, or for a bigger event please head to ‘Plan an Occasion’.We show all major sporting events including PPV boxing, with a HD projector and 5 plasma screens; we are the home for sport in Fishponds! We also offer full table service for every big game so you won’t miss a second of the action.To top it off we are a dog-friendly pub and we love meeting your furry friends. The George hotel is a beautiful 400 year old hotel, currently only used as a restaurant. Taken over in 2020, the restaurant is tastefully decorated, adourning wonderful photos of chepstow through the years. The menu boasts an array of fabulous dishes, from the traditional 'pub grub' with our 2 for £16 menu, to our in house dry aged Steaks, cooked to perfection by our chefs or brought out to you on our signature sizzling hot stones. On a Saturday evening, the restaurant comes alive with wonderful live music, starting off with a relaxed vibe whilst you finish off your meal, and a livelier second half to finish off your evening. Finish the week here on a sunday, where we have fast become the place to come for a sunday lunch, with rave reviews and recommendations across the board. With a vast drinks and food menu, the George is the ideal place to come, either for a relaxed lunch for two, an evening out with friends or a large family gathering.

    Wow we were so impressed. Every thing about our service and food was 10/10. We arrived early and were happy to grab a drink or 2 at the bar but our table was ready. Therefore we ate before planned and wow. We searched and searched for a lovely roast in Bath and I’m so glad we came across this place. The beef, roasties, sides, service.. nothing could have been better. Highly recommend to anyone looking to book!

    Jordan and Callum offer great friendly service. A great neighbourhood pub which welcomes everyone. Cask Ales kept to perfection.

    Brilliant new restaurant in the wider Bristol and Bath area. Easy to reach. Enough parking spaces. Very nice atmosphere, excellent food and fantastic service. The beef brisket was tender and delicious. We tried all appetisers and they were all good. My partner is celiac and we were able to eat here, because they have many GF options and they take care of cross-contamination. I highly recommend this place for a dinner or an afternoon tea.
